Willie Ann Irwin Scott

Ms. Willie Ann Irwin Scott was born on January 8, 1942, in Wayne County, Tennessee, to the late Charlie and Ruby Irwin. She was raised in Waynesboro, Tennessee, and was a proud graduate of Wayne County High School. Following graduation, Ann pursued her cosmetology license and owned and operated her own beauty shop on the town square, where she especially enjoyed building lasting relationships with her clients.

In the late 1970s, she moved to Collierville, Tennessee, where she devoted herself to being a homemaker and lovingly raising her twin sons, who were the pride and joy of her life. She later enjoyed a successful career in real estate for many years before returning to Waynesboro in 2006.

Ann’s greatest joy came from her family. She cherished her role as “Nana” to her four grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them throughout the remainder of her life.

Willie Ann Irwin Scott passed from this life on November 23, 2025, at the age of 83 years, 10 months, and 15 days.

Those left to honor her memory include her sons, Keith Scott of Pickwick, Tennessee, and Kevin Scott (Mary) of Waynesboro, Tennessee; her beloved grandchildren, Rhett, Ella, Jake, and Luke Scott; her sisters, Frances Jones and Melba Staggs; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bobby Irwin and Sue Creasy.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
