Mr. Jackie Lynn Holt was born in Hohenwald, TN to his parents, the late Mr. Homer Holt and Mrs. Annie Lucille Warren Holt. He was born the son of a blacksmith and a homemaker, and both of those skill sets shone through in the hard work and caring he would display through the rest of his life. His formative years were spent in Waynesboro attending school, and in his teenage years working at the movie theater in Waynesboro, eventually graduating from Wayne County High School with the class of 1971. Jackie, being a hard worker, chose the profession of "Boiler Maker" joining the "Boiler Makers Union" Lodge 455 in Muscle Shoals, AL. This profession provided him with travels and friends all around the southeast and he continued in it until his retirement. Later in his adult life, he would marry Mrs. Cheryl Skimehorne Holt in April of 2000 and the two, forever intertwining their hearts, families, and lives would make their home in Waynesboro, TN. He was of the Christian faith with Baptist roots. He was a multi-talented man as he enjoyed refurbishing antiques, especially cabinet radios, old fans and any other item, he could make work like new. Mr. Holt enjoyed the outdoors, particularly finding lost treasures while metal detecting. He also loved collecting old tools and in his leisure time he could be found eating Oreos and watching old "Westerns" and “Monster Movies.” However, no time he spent could compare to the time he spent with his family and friends especially his grandson. Mr. Jackie Lynn Holt passed from this life on March 1, 2026, working in the yard with the sun on his face at the age of 72 years.
