Although the leaves aren’t quite yet peaking with autumn colors, the fall season is well underway, which means one thing – it’s time for the annual Pumpkin Harvest Festival in Waynesboro.
The Pumpkin Harvest Festival was an annual community event on the Waynesboro square for many decades. It was established by the city as a way to support the community, promote involvement, and encourage civic pride. The festival is now hosted by the Downtown Waynesboro Committee, and the committee has made these goals their mission as well.
This year’s Pumpkin Harvest Festival will be this Saturday, October 3rd, from 9am until 3pm. The square will be situated to welcome vendors offering a wide array of items, including seasonal homemade crafts, home décor, delicious foods, and many other items. As always, several kids’ activities will be there too on festival day.
The annual Pumpkin Harvest Festival gives families the opportunity to not only enjoy the town of Waynesboro, but to enjoy the beginning of the fall season in a fun and safe environment. Everyone is invited to participate and attend.
