Williams Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, located at 2969 Railroad Bed Road in Iron City, Tennessee, will be presenting a drive-through live nativity scene, “The Cradle, The Cross, & The Crown,” on Sunday, December 14, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Five different scenes will be presented during the drive-through. The first scene will depict Gabriel coming to Mary to tell her that she will give birth to a son, who will be the Lord and Savior, Jesus.
Scene Two will depict Mary and Joseph’s long journey from Jerusalem to Bethlehem.
Scene Three will be the birth of Jesus. This scene will include Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, angels, shepherds, and the three wise men. Live animals will also be part of this scene.
Scene Four is the crucifixion of Jesus. A man representing Jesus will be on a cross as Jesus was during his crucifixion.
Scene Five, the final scene, will feature a tomb depicting where Jesus was placed after the crucifixion. This scene will also depict the resurrection of Jesus when he rose from the tomb.
This live nativity scene will take you back to the days of Jesus and will undoubtedly bring both tears of sadness and tears of joy. The actors/church members do a great job every year and work hard to make the live nativity happen.
After driving through the nativity scene, everyone is invited to go next door to the Holly Creek Fire Hall for free refreshments. Those who wish to remain in their vehicles may enjoy free refreshments at the exit from the nativity scene.
All are invited to come see and enjoy the live story of Jesus’ birth.
