As the Collinwood High School basketball season came to a close, both teams battled through the District Tournament with determination and heart. The Trojanettes finished their regular season with an overall record of 13–11 and an impressive 4–2 mark in district play. The Trojans ended their regular season 10–15 overall and 1–5 in district competition.
In the first round of the District Tournament, the Trojanettes faced Perry County. After a competitive first half, the girls trailed 17–21. They fought hard to close the gap but ultimately fell short, ending their tournament opener with a 39–53 loss. Emmy Brown led the scoring effort with 12 points, followed closely by Sophia Keeton with 11. Ellie Blalock added 6 points, Abby Smith contributed 5, while Brinn Crews and Sarah Creecy each finished with 4 points.
The Trojans also battled Perry County in their first-round matchup. Trailing 20–34 at halftime, the boys continued to compete but fell 39–59. Cole Risner led the Trojans with 10 points. Bennett Rich added 8 points, while Brody Holt and Tate Linville each scored 7. Stetson Holt finished with 4 points, and Patch Craig added 3.
In the consolation round, the Trojanettes bounced back with a strong performance against Frank Hughes, securing a 47–42 victory. Emmy Brown had an outstanding night, leading all scorers with 20 points. Sophia Keeton followed with 13, and Sarah Creecy and Ellie Blalock each contributed 7 points. Congratulations to Emmy Brown for finishing as the team’s leading scorer for both games!
The Trojans also competed against Frank Hughes in their consolation game. Despite a hard-fought effort, they fell 35–47. Bennett Rich and Brody Holt led the team with 12 points each. Tate Linville added 5 points, Cole Risner scored 4, and Patch Craig contributed 2 points.
Several players were recognized for their outstanding performances this season. For the Trojanettes, Ellie Blalock, Sophia Keeton, and Emmy Brown earned All-Season honors, while Sarah Creecy and Emmy Brown were named to the All-Tournament Team. For the Trojans, Cole Risner and Brody Holt were selected for All-Season honors, and Patch Craig and Tate Linville were named to the All-Tournament Team.
