Young Linden Man Dies in Collinwood After Tragic Fall

A young Linden man was tragically killed in an accident on Monday, August 25, while working on a roof at C-Wood Lumber Company in Collinwood.

Officials stated that Robert Hartsock, age 27, was working with a company out of Linden, TN, that was hired to repair/replace a metal roof on one of the buildings at C-Wood Lumber Company. While on top of the building, Hartsock reportedly mis-stepped and fell through a skylight, dropping approximately forty feet to the ground below.

Hartsock was transported by ambulance from the scene to a landing zone in Collinwood, and was then flown by helicopter to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He sadly succumbed to his injuries after arrival at the hospital.

“Our prayers go out to the family of this young man,” said Inv. Dale Palmer of the Collinwood Police Department. “Although not classified as industrial in nature, this was a horrible accident nonetheless.”
