INVITATION TO SUBMIT BIDS AND NOTICE

The City of Waynesboro, Tennessee will accept bids for paving various streets in the City of Waynesboro. Bidders shall submit sealed bids no later than 4:00 p.m. (CST), August 21, 2026 to The City of Waynesboro, City Hall, 122 Public Square East, Waynesboro, TN 38485, Attn: John Hickman, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids will be presented at the Commission meeting on August 24th, 2026 at 5:30p.m. to be awarded. Bid specs are as follows:

City Street Paving: Per Ton price for in-place asphalt surface hot-mix (price one ton of 411-E Mix) for paving various city streets, to include necessary edging and/or sweeping prior to paving, tack coat prior to paving, any necessary traffic control, mobilization, and adjustments to manholes and valve boxes. Some streets will require “scratch” course paving (leveling) prior to surface course paving. Also to be included in per ton price for 411-E Mix, painted striping on S High Street/Old 64 Hwy west of town square to US64 By-Pass (double yellow center line and white edge line on each side). The approximate planned paving tonnage is 2000 to 4000 Tons.

Sealed envelopes shall be clearly marked with Street Paving Bid and include bidder’s company name, contractor license number, classification, and expiration.

The City of Waynesboro reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities or informalities, and to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City.

Notice is hereby given that on August 4 of 2026 Letters Testamentary (or of Administration as the case may be) in respect of the estate of Doris Marie Rogerson, who died 5/18/2026, were issued to the undersigned by the Wayne County Chancery Court of Wayne County, Tennessee. All persons, resident and non-resident, having claims, matured or unmatured, against the estate are required to file the same with the Clerk of the above named Court on or before the earlier of the dates prescribed in (1) or (2) otherwise their claims will be forever barred:

(1) (A) Four (4) months from the date of the first publication (or posting, as the case may be) of this notice if the creditor received an actual copy of this notice to creditors at least sixty (60) days before date that is four (4) months from the date of the first publication (or posting); or

(B) Sixty (60) days from the date the creditor received an actual copy of the notice to creditors, if the creditor received the copy of the notice less than sixty (60) days prior to the date that is four (4) months from the date of the first publication (or posting) as described in (1)(A); or
