It’s back, and the second annual version of the “new” Horseshoe Riverbend Festival in Clifton promises to entertain and satisfy the river city natives’ craving for live music and great food smack dab in the middle of town and practically on the rocky banks of the Tennessee River.
Hosted by City of Clifton Main Street, the 44th edition of the Horseshoe Riverbend Music Festival will be held on Saturday, September 12th. The festival is scheduled from noon until midnight and will feature a lineup of musical performers throughout the afternoon and evening, highlighted by country music artist and headliner Dusty Black.
Owen Brashier, Wayne County’s own “Elvis,” will kick off the entertainment from 12 noon to 1:30 pm, followed by Bell Monroe from 2 to 3:30. The Wentzel Brothers Band, a rock trio from Chapel Hill, Tennessee, will rock the stage from 4 to 5:30 pm, and ‘80s tribute band Mixtape will perform from 6 to 7:30. Up-and-coming country music performer Dusty Black, who is already making a name for himself in Nashville while opening for some of country’s biggest stars, is scheduled as the evening’s headliner from 8 to 10 pm. The Midnighters will close out the festival with a performance from 10:30 pm until midnight.
Admission is $20 per person. Beer wristbands will be available for $5 for those age 21 and older who wish to consume alcohol. Beer is sold separately. Organizers note that no coolers or bags will be permitted, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
Vendors and food trucks will also be part of the festival, giving visitors an opportunity to enjoy eating and shopping while taking in the live entertainment.
The event is presented by City of Clifton Main Street with support from sponsors including Peoples Bank, Tennessee RiverLine, and Natchez Valley.
