At sunrise, over the courthouse in Waynesboro, vendors set up vibrant canopies and fill tables with fresh produce, baked goods, and handcrafted items. Neighbors greet each other, and Saturday Market on the Square returns for its third and best season yet.
The founders of the market, Jessie Welch and Ann Accetta-Scott, set out with a simple but powerful mission: unite and connect the community with local growers, bakers, and makers — and that vision has only grown stronger with time.
This year features returning vendors and new faces with goods for every home: organic produce, fresh eggs, crafts, soaps, skincare, and a variety of baked goods. Pick a bouquet of flowers and some honey while meeting the people behind them. There's something special for everyone.
“We wanted people to know where their food and crafted goods come from and to feel proud of what this community produces,” said one of the market’s co-founders. “Every season, we see that connection deepen.”
The market runs the first and third Saturday mornings each month from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., starting May 2, 2026, through September, at the courthouse in downtown Waynesboro. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, you can spend your Saturday morning here—basket in hand, coffee in the other, community around you.
Local vendors truly appreciate everyone’s support. It keeps money in our county, encourages sustainable farming, and helps small businesses thrive. The Saturday Market reminds us of the community's dedication and talent.
Don’t miss out—bring your family, friends, or neighbors to the Saturday Market on the Square. Be a part of this vibrant community event and make memories together.
