The Collinwood Football Foundation awarded its 2025 “Leadership to Legacy” Scholarships during the Collinwood Trojan Football Banquet. The scholarships are awarded annually to Collinwood High School senior football players who embody the spirit, determination, and commitment that was demonstrated by those first players. The scholarship also recognizes an individual’s determination to succeed, ability to overcome hardships, strong leadership, and strength of character. For the first time, the Foundation awarded a scholarship to every senior football player.
The recipients of the 2025 “Leadership to Legacy’” Scholarship are:
Timothy Chapman, son of Colby and Brittany Vickery of Iron City, is the recipient of the 2025 “Leadership to Legacy” $1,000 Scholarship. Timothy was a member of the Collinwood Trojan football and bass teams while also being a member of the Educational Talent Search program. In addition, he also serves at the Williams Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Timothy plans to attend Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Crump and study welding.
Harrison Rich, son of Jason and Stacey Rich of Collinwood, is the recipient of the 2025 “Leadership to Legacy” $500 Scholarship. Harrison was a member of the Collinwood Trojan football, basketball, baseball, and bass teams while also being a member of the CHS Beta Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. In addition, he is also active in his church and volunteers his time to Old Timers Day and the Collinwood Tractor Pull. Harrison plans to attend the University of North Alabama or Columbia State Community College to study electrical engineering.
Tyler Jackson, son of Audrey Jackson of Collinwood, is the recipient of a 2025 “Leadership to Legacy” $250 Scholarship. Tyler was a member of the Trojan football team as well as a member of the Spanish Club, and served as Sergeant at Arms for his senior class. He plans to attend the Tennessee College of Applied Technology to study industrial maintenance.
Also receiving a $250 “Leadership to Legacy” Scholarship is Drey Howe, son of Chris and Bridgette Howe of Cypress Inn. Drey was a member of the Trojan football team and a member of the Educational Talent Search program. He is active in the Collinwood Church of Christ, and also volunteers with the “Adopt a Highway” program. Drey plans to attend the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Hohenwald to study automotive mechanics.
Seniors receiving $100 “Leadership to Legacy” Scholarships were:
Wyatt Smith, son of Gary and Heather Smith of Collinwood. In addition to being a member of the Collinwood football team, Wyatt was also a member of the CHS Beta Club and the Prom Committee. Wyatt plans to attend the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Hohenwald to study industrial maintenance.
Corbin Smith, son of Brian and Ryan Smith of Collinwood. Corbin was a member of the football and baseball teams as well as a member of the CHS Beta Club. He is also very active at the Mt. Hope Church and volunteers in the Big Green Print Shop. Corbin plans to attend Tennessee College of Applied Technology to study plumbing.
Johnathan Quigley, son of William and Kimberly Quigley of Collinwood. Johnathan was a member of the CHS football team and volunteered during JV football games. He plans to attend Tennessee College of Applied Technology to study automotive mechanics.
Westin Daniel, son of Joseph and Joy Daniel of Cypress Inn. In addition to being a member of the football team, Westin volunteered to serve at several school and community activities. Westin plans to attend Tennessee College of Applied Technology Crump to study welding.
