The Wayne County High School basketball Lady Cats and Wildcats combined for five wins on the hardwood last week. The Lady Cats lost to Lebanon High School on Saturday, January 18th, but bounced back to take wins over Lead Academy, Fayetteville, and Collinwood. The Wildcats dropped their match-up with Lead in the MLK Classic on Monday, then took wins over Fayetteville and Collinwood. The Lady Cats stand at 18 – 3 on the year, while the 'Cats are now 14 – 7. Following their games Monday with Mars Hill, the teams will travel to Clifton on Friday to take on Frank Hughes. Next week they will be at home to take on East Hickman and Perry County.
