Alex Winston Gray, age 30,and Ariel Gabrielle Haddock, age 25, both of Waynesboro, were arrested on Sunday, May 19th on multiple drug charges. The arrest reports filed by Deputy Spencer Ray state that in the early morning hours of May 19th, he and Sgt. Michael Byrd observed a vehicle parked in front of Waynesboro City Hall that drove away when the officers came onto the square, then came back and parked near the courthouse. Given the late hour, the officers pulled up to the vehicle, occupied by Gray and Haddock, and asked for consent to search. The search of the vehicle allegedly revealed drugs and drug paraphernalia, including methamphetamine, marijuana, glass and metal pipes, and digital scales. Gray and Haddock were both charged with manufacture, delivery, sale, or possession of methamphetamine, simple possession or casual exchange of schedule VI, and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were each booked into the Wayne County Jail on $80,000.00 bond.
