Micah Christian Figueroa, age 18, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Saturday, May 18th after an incident at the Waynesboro City Park. The report filed by Officer Colby Baer states that several witnesses reported seeing Figueroa operating a vehicle erratically and doing “donuts” in front of Stage 64 with small children sitting in the backseat. When Officer Baer spoke with Figueroa, he allegedly stated that he had been babysitting four children, ages 2, 4, 6, and 7, and just wanted to “show them some fun.” The report went on to state that Figueroa drove recklessly with little or no regard for the safety of his minor passengers or the other children and adults at the park. Figueroa was arrested on charges of driving on a suspended/revoked license, vandalism, reckless endangerment, and child abuse or neglect. He was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $31,000.00 bond.
