Steven Blake Brown, age 32, of Waynesboro was arrested on Thursday, May 2nd after a traffic stop for a loud muffler and improper display of plates resulted in further drug-related charges. The arrest report filed by Deputy Tyler McKenzie states that when he performed the traffic stop on Brown’s vehicle, he received information from dispatch that Brown’s driver’s license was revoked. While searching Brown’s vehicle, Deputy McKenzie allegedly located a meth pipe concealed between the driver’s seat and center console. After arriving at the Wayne County Jail, a correctional officer then allegedly found a Suboxone strip inside Brown’s wallet. Brown was charged with driving on revoked 3rd offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and introduction of contraband into a penal institution. He is currently being held on $60,000.00 bond.
