Russell Dwain Moore, age 41, of Waynesboro was arrested on Monday, April 29th on a methamphetamine charge after a traffic stop. Deputy Tyler McKenzie filed a report stating that he performed a traffic stop on Moore for speeding and a non-functioning brake light, and when Deputy McKenzie ran Moore’s information through dispatch, he was informed that Moore had an outstanding arrest warrant for violation of probation. Moore was then arrested on the VOP warrant and transported to the Wayne County Jail. After arriving at the jail, Deputy McKenzie searched the back seat of his patrol vehicle where Moore had been sitting, and located a container which held approximately eight grams of a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine. Moore was charged with violation of probation and manufacture/delivery/sale/possession of methamphetamine, and was booked into the Wayne County Jail with no bond.
