Kimberly Sue Alvarez, age 45, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee was arrested on Monday, August 5th on multiple drug-related charges. According to the report filed by Deputy Tyler McKenzie, he was patrolling Highway 13 when he performed a traffic stop on a 2006 Volkswagen for improper display of plates. Alvarez, a passenger in the vehicle, gave Deputy McKenzie consent to search her belongings. Inside Alvarez’ purse, Deputy McKenzie allegedly found a pill crusher containing a Hydrocodone pill, along with a blue snorting straw containing white residue. Alvarez was arrested on charges of possession of schedule II Hydrocodone and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was transported to the Wayne County Jail. After arriving at the jail, Deputy McKenzie allegedly located a black case in the back seat of his patrol vehicle that contained approximately 1.5 grams of marijuana, approximately 0.3 grams of methamphetamine, and 13 additional Hydrocodone pills. Alvarez’ charge of possession of schedule II was upgraded to include “for resale,” and she was additionally charged with possession of schedule VI marijuana and manufacture, delivery, sale, or possession of methamphetamine. She was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $155,000.00 bond.
