Jackson Generals

As the old song goes, "Take me out to the ballgame!”

The Wayne County Chamber of Commerce has announced that the Jackson Generals baseball organization will have a "Wayne County Night" to honor our community on Saturday, June 1st.  This is not limited to Chamber members, anyone can go! The evening will begin with all-you-can-eat barbecue from 5-6 PM. Once you are full of good eats, you will be escorted to a section of the ballpark that will be reserved just for Wayne County residents!

To add to the excitement of the special evening, the VanCleef children from Clifton will be singing the National Anthem. Throwing the first pitch of the game will be…wait for it…Waynesboro’s very own City Manager, John "Rocket" Hickman. Mr. Hickman has offered to come out of retirement to make the evening a "pitch" to remember.

The theme for the night will be "Star Wars.” If you are so inclined, and have your Jedi robe, Princess Leia hair, Yoda ears, or Darth Vader voice ready, you can dress up to have a little more fun for the evening. This will be one night to remember!

For ticket reservations and more information, contact Christine Chapman at the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, 931-722-3575. Tickets will be delivered 1-2 weeks before the event.

Everyone is invited to make plans to bring the family, represent our gorgeous county, and make wonderful memories!
