A Hunter Education (Traditional) Class will be held at the Woodmen of the World building at 424 S. Main Street in Waynesboro on August 5, 6, 8, and 9, 2019, from 5-8:30 p.m. each night. Anyone born on or after January 1, 1969 must possess proof of successful completion of a hunter education class before hunting in Tennessee.

   The course is offered free of charge to anyone interested regardless of age; however, you must be nine years of age or older in order to become a certified hunter education graduate. Parents are welcome to attend and take the course also. 

   Students must attend all 4 nights to be certified.  Do not bring firearms to class at any time.

   As of January 1, 2013, anyone taking a Hunter Education class in Tennessee must register for the class online. Go to the TWRA website at TNWildlife.org and look under the hunter education section. You can search for a class near you. Complete the registration before the class begins to ensure a seat in the class. If you do not have internet access, try your local library or call the regional office for assistance at 615-781-6622 or 1-800-624-7406.
