Christopher Edward Riley, age 39, of Clifton was arrested on Thursday, April 25th on methamphetamine and assault charges. Investigator Steve Wilson of the Clifton Police Department filed a report stating that officers were initially called to Riley’s mother’s residence on James K. Polk Street (near Frank Hughes School) after Riley allegedly acted aggressively toward his mother and threatened her with a stick. A search of the home was performed, and in the bedroom occupied by Riley and his girlfriend, officers discovered several plastic corner baggies containing a white residue believed to be methamphetamine, glass pipes, and other drug paraphernalia, in addition to an inactive “shake and bake” meth lab. Riley was arrested on charges of simple domestic assault, initiate manufacture of meth, and manufacture of meth in a drug-free zone. He was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $178,500.00 bond.
