Blake Lee Barkley, age 22, of Lutts, Tennessee was arrested on Wednesday, April 24th on a previous warrant for interference with emergency communications and a charge of felon in possession of a firearm. The report filed by Sergeant Michael Byrd on April 6th, 2019 stated that Barkley and his girlfriend were in an argument, and when Barkley’s mother threatened to call the police, Barkley grabbed the phone from her hand, took it outside, and smashed it. Barkley also allegedly would not let his mother leave in her car, so she was forced to walk to a neighbor’s home to call 911. On Tuesday, April 24th, Deputy Brent Butler was in the process of arresting Barkley on the warrant for interference with emergency communications, and during the arrest, Barkely was found to be in possession of a loaded pistol. Barkley was arrested on both charges and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $12,500.00 bond.
