April Annette Rumbaugh, age 47, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Friday, June 14th after a traffic stop. Investigator Dusty Malugen stated in the arrest report that as he was pulling out of Hurricane Creek Road onto Highway 64 East, Rumbaugh drove past in a gray Saturn Vue. Investigator Malugen had prior knowledge that Rumbaugh’s driver’s license was suspended, so he performed a traffic stop and confirmed through dispatch that this was Rumbaugh’s fourth offense for driving on a revoked license. Rumbaugh allegedly gave Investigator Malugen and Sheriff Fisher consent to search her vehicle, and during the search the officers allegedly found a glass methamphetamine pipe with residue inside, one syringe, and five pills believed to be Gabapentin 300 mg. The drug paraphernalia and pills were found inside Rumbaugh’s purse. Rumbaugh was arrested on charges of driving while suspended 4th offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a legend drug. She was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $15,000.00 bond.
