American Legion Post 130 has proudly announced their 2019 selection of three young Wayne County men to attend the Tennessee Boys State program hosted by Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee from noon on May 19th until noon on May 25th. It is truly an honor to be chosen to attend the nation’s #1 Boys State program.
The Wayne County honorees for 2019 are Brantley Allen Forrest and Cody Ryan Warren, who both attend Frank Hughes High School in Clifton, and Robert Cordell Littrell, who attends Wayne County High School in Waynesboro. All three of these young men, along with their parents, are to be commended for the standard of quality that they were required to meet in order to qualify for this great experience.
American Legion Boys State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for high school students. It is a participatory program where each participant becomes a part of the operation of his local, county, and state government. American Legion Post 130 salutes these young men, and state that they are proud to be represented by them at the 2019 Tennessee Boys State program.
